In a small bowl, add chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave 45 seconds whisking and repeating until smooth and chocolate chips melted.

Meanwhile, cut cake horizontally in thirds.

Plate bottom half of cake on serving platter and spread ½ whipped topping evenly over cake. Pour ½ cherry pie filling on top. Repeat.

Pour melted chocolate mixture over top of cake.
