Marinate the steak by pouring salad dressing into a resealable bag, reserving ½ cup & 2 tablespoons (refrigerate.) Season steak w/ salt and pepper; add steak to bag and shake to coat. Refrigerate at least 5 hours.
When ready to eat, preheat grill to high.
Meanwhile, cut pears in half and remove the core.
Take the 2 T of the reserved dressing and drizzle over pears. Sprinkle w/ sugar
Put steak and pears on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes. Flip the steaks and cook another 4-5 minutes or cooked to desired doneness. Pears should be soft but not falling apart)
Let the steak rest for at least five minutes before cutting.
While steak resting, toss spinach w/ the reserved ½ cup dressing and add cheese.
Slice steak into thin strips along the grain and plate. Add salad and top w/ half a pear.
